We prioritize algorithms over people when evaluating claims: Our data-driven approach leverages machine learning to analyze behavior, which helps us determine the validity of a claim.

When the algorithmic route doesn't yield a clear answer, we rely on human judgment to make a final decision. Our objective is to build and scale efficient validation systems, but we understand that these systems will need to be continuously tested and refined after we launch.

Our technical whitepaper provides further details on this topic. The main breakthrough in our thinking with respect to onchain insurance is the requirement that claims validators are required to stake tokens. In this way, the ecosystem may (eventually) punish validators for failing to correctly handle claims.
